This huge LEGO creation was just one of many at the Charlotte comic festival, HerosCon. The annual convention has been going on since 1982 and is named for Charlotte's iconic comic shop, "Heros Aren't Hard to Find."
In this case, the hero seems to be Hulk doing what he does best: SMASH!

I'm not sure exactly what's going on here. The panda might be participating in the LEGO invasion or maybe he just finished washing his costume in the laundromat and is simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Something about that smirk, though, makes me think he's up to no good.

I've been asking for this Lego set for my birthday, Father's day and Christmas for the last two-and-a-half years. I think everybody thought it was a joke. It's now out of production so it was the only thing on my Christmas list this year. I finally got it! There may have been a Wii Freakout™.
