Stroll Along the Battery

No visit to Charleston would be complete without a stroll along The Holy City's version of the Malecón.

That may not be a totally fair statement. Havana's famous Malecón was "only" built a little over 100 years ago in 1901. Charleston's seawall — called the Battery for the artillery battery that once stood there to protect the harbor — was built over 250 years ago in 1750!

Either way, it's a beautiful place and should be on your must-visit list if you ever find yourself in one of the greatest historic (and modern) cities in America.
