Sugartop

Beech Mountain, North Carolina
March 26, 2016 by Matt Spangard

I feel a little guilty about naming this photograph Sugartop. This was taken from the top of North Carolina's highest mountain town, Beech Mountain. See that ugly building built on the back ridge? That's the most hated development project in North Carolina's High Country. To the people of the High Country, this single project represents everything that is bad about commercial development, ruining the spectacular long-range mountain views.

This photograph was captured with a DJI Phantom 3 Professional that just happens to be nearly $400 off at the moment.
