Two Years of #PhotoJambo

Beech Mountain, North Carolina
October 15, 2017 by Matt Spangard

On October 16, 2015, I challenged myself to post a new photo every day for a year. Today marks two years of daily #PhotoJambo photos.

Today also marks a new beginning for PhotoJambo. Rather than focus on the method of creating and sharing something new every day, I'm going to take more time between posts so I can get those edits perfect and create more feature-based work.

Thanks to everyone around the world for their support over these past two years. If you want to throw a little more support my way, please spend 5 seconds to vote for my entry in the Triple Aught Design Fall Film Festival. Every vote counts and I really appreciate your support!

THANK YOU!

This photo is a panorama of three photos captured with a DJI Mavic pro drone and a PolarPro Cinema Series filter.

Stacked Art

Paris, France
October 10, 2017 by Matt Spangard

The Mona Lisa was OK if you like looking at art behind six inches of plexiglass in a high school gym with really nice floors (Take a look if you don't believe me) but what really struck me about Paris was all of the great street art! Here's Charleston's own Shephard Fairey (and a bunch of others!).

Plotagraph: Last Light Over Boneyard Beach

Boneyard Beach
October 06, 2017 by Matt Spangard

Boneyard Beach is named for the driftwood that is pulled in on the tide and deposited on the beach to be bleached bone white by the sun, salt and sand. It's a quick 30-minute excursion from Isle of Palms Marina and well worth the trip. The island really lights up as the sun sets, drawing long shadows on the "bones" that litter the beach.

This photo was captured with a DJI Phantom 3 Professional drone and then converted to a Plotagraph.
